Before I dive into my full year-end business review, I want to share something personal that’s actually part of what made this year successful.
Permission to Order Takeout (And Other Business-Supporting Life Choices)
This Thanksgiving, we’re ordering amazing vegan food from a local restaurant called Eris in Oceanside. The quantity is huge, the quality is incredible, and it’s not just vegan filler junk—it’s actually really great food.
My dad came last year, tried it, and loved it (and he’s not even vegan).
Here’s why I’m telling you this: Permission granted if you don’t want to slave away in the kitchen for holidays anymore.
Back when I was a PT in a traditional mill clinic and when I was a massage therapist doing manual work, the thought of being on my feet for hours in the kitchen after busy weeks using my body and hands would make me want to cry.
Some years I pushed through it and would be sore on Friday. When I worked for the PT clinic, I actually had to go into work on Black Friday, and I’d be exhausted and tired.
My husband and I decided that some years, we just want to order out. It’s rejuvenating. It’s nourishing. We can spend the day—like this year with 70-degree sunny weather here in San Diego—at the beach, going for walks, family bike rides, or hikes.
We’re meeting up with friends. We’ll have really yummy food. We can add sides if we want or not. Dessert with friends if we want or not. We’re flexible, and I really love that.
This flexibility? It’s directly connected to building a sustainable business that supports your life instead of consuming it.
This Year Has Been a “Pinch Your Cheeks” Kind of Year
I’m going to do what I teach my clients—what we did in the Strategic Planning Workshop and what I’ve learned from my coaches. I’ll walk you through my own evaluation of what worked, what didn’t work, and what’s changing going forward for 2026.
You’ll get sneak peeks of what’s coming too.
What Worked: The Big Wins
Working with Amazing Clients
I’ve worked with some truly incredible clients over the last few years, and this year especially has been so rewarding. Whether on group Instagram clinic calls, one-to-one calls, or the Strategic Planning Workshop, I feel like I’m in the right place—really living and fulfilling my purpose.
Maintaining a Waitlist for One-to-One Coaching
I’ve maintained a waitlist for my one-to-one coaching through the majority of this year. When someone books a consultation call, the earliest I can usually get them in is a couple weeks, but for most of the year it’s been a month to even a month and a half or two months out.
Here’s the strategy I implemented so they’re not just waiting and doing nothing: I give them direct message access to start coaching with me immediately, plus portal access right away.
They can start growing their revenue, signing more clients, and organizing their offers and marketing plan before our six-month container officially starts. They get bonus time, and I love offering this when I can’t get them in right away.
Revenue Growth: Surpassing Last Year by September
I hit last year’s total revenue by the end of September or beginning of October. I’ve surpassed it and am in the multiple six-figure range while maintaining about 50% profit.
I’m paying down student loan debt. Last year I invested heavily—two high-ticket masterminds at the same time, plus trademarking the Ignite Your Wellness Business name (since it’s been my podcast and Instagram handle for so long).
Those were big investments, and they’re almost paid down.
The Dual Financial Goals Strategy That Actually Worked
I have dual financial goals: paying down debt AND growing savings simultaneously.
You might think this didn’t work because doing both means neither happens at a rapid pace. But here’s what I learned: traditionally, my focus was always paying down debt first. But then I’d have no savings, would invest in a program, and end up back in debt.
A couple years ago, a coach pointed out that the reason I kept ending up in debt was that I wasn’t saving aggressively for programs or surprise expenses. So I’d put things on credit cards again.
This year? I continued paying down debt AND built up my savings so much that I invested another round with one of my coaches and paid 100% in cash. I didn’t add any additional debt this entire year.
I still invested heavily (and will continue to invest next year), but I paid for everything in cash. That’s a huge win.
Vacations Every Quarter Without Guilt
I took about a week-long vacation every quarter this year. Some were a little over a week, some slightly shorter, but most were around a week.
I paid off a high tax bill at the beginning of this year without crying because I had it in savings.
I continue to work in my ideal schedule: evenings off and weekends off.
Many wellness practitioners struggle to take time off without their income stopping completely. Building a scalable business model that generates revenue even when you’re not working is essential for sustainable entrepreneurship.
What Worked: Offer Strategy
I had two main offers this year:
1. Six-month one-to-one coaching ($5,500—raising to $7,500 in January 2026)
I also have a renewal offer for clients who’ve completed the six-month container, but it’s not publicly marketed. It’s only available to past clients.
2. Instagram Message Makeover Clinic (group program)
The one-to-one definitely worked. My schedule has felt very busy in a positive way—a good problem to have. I’ve been getting coached by both my coaches (DL Sharon and Stacey) on my demand and capacity, and I’ve been developing my capacity and getting better client results so I could raise my price.
I’m raising my one-to-one price from $5,500 to $7,500 in January 2026.
I’m mentally preparing for potential nos, but so far things are steadily rolling along. I might have fewer one-to-ones, and I want to use that time to continue developing my launching and group program skills.
The Instagram Clinic Evolution
I’ve had really great clients in the Instagram clinic with strong wins and results. But the conversations we’re having in the group sometimes go beyond just Instagram.
When clients tell me they’re using Instagram to promote workshops, I want to get into:
- What they’re actually teaching in the workshops
- How they’re marketing beyond Instagram
- What they’re doing for follow-up, emails, and strategy
- What offer they’re promoting
That’s all part of what I currently do with one-to-ones, but it’s not part of the Instagram program. I’ve been feeling called to evolve this into a more holistic program that still incorporates Instagram but brings in other facets:
- Developing offers (especially transitioning from in-person to online)
- Building confidence in getting clients results online
- Marketing and selling strategies
- Schedule and time management
- Deeper mindset work beyond just Instagram mindset
The Instagram clinic is now evolving into the 100K Online Practice Blueprint.
It’s a six-month group program with a six-week Instagram intensive built in (bonus calls within the program). The investment is $2,000 with payment plans available.
This is somewhat of a hybrid offer for me—combining things I’ve done in the past with new packaging. It’s not completely new, but it is a newer offer, so I’m excited to work on the messaging and get used to selling it in consultation calls.
Understanding how to package your expertise into group programs while maintaining transformation quality is key to scaling beyond one-to-one work. Learn more about creating profitable group programs that serve clients well while freeing up your time.
What Worked: Workshop Strategy
This year I experimented with low-ticket workshops at $7, and they went really great.
My show-up rate with these $7 workshops is 70-80%, which is unheard of. When I normally do a free webinar, it’s 20-30% or sometimes even 10%.
Right now across the board, free webinar show-up rates have been tanking. So if you’ve been doing free workshops and webinars and the show-up rate hasn’t been great, it’s not you—it’s just what’s happening across the industry.
I made the shift to paid workshops, and I really love it.
Here’s the thing: my conversion off those workshops is also good—anywhere from 40-65%. That’s also unheard of for a webinar.
So I love those numbers. What I want to do more of is have a bigger ad budget because the ads I’ve been running (to get people to workshops through both organic marketing like Instagram, word of mouth, messaging, and emails, plus Facebook ads) are working well.
I want to continue with organic marketing and maybe add more ad budget to get more people there while continuing to watch the conversion.
I might play around with different topics. At the end of this year, I brought back the Strategic Planning Workshop (a variation of something I taught 4-5 years ago), and people really loved it. I hope to do that again next year.
I might also experiment with different price points—$27 or maybe even a 3-hour workshop at $79 or $97. I’ll sprinkle those in with the workshops that are already working.
What Worked: Marketing Strategy
Instagram Growth (Despite What Everyone Says)
I see and hear all over the place: “The algorithm’s dead. It’s shifted. Reels aren’t going viral. You can’t grow on Instagram.”
I’m here to tell you that’s just not true.
In fact, I missed the opportunity when everyone else was growing because I didn’t know what I was doing. Now that I’ve really invested time with coaches and refined my messaging, I’m growing while other people say you can’t grow.
Just last week, I had my highest views on an organic reel (I didn’t boost it)—it got over 20,000 views and is still going.
My follower count is still growing. I’m still signing clients from Instagram, which I love.
I brought in ManyChat this year, and that’s been working really well for growing my email list from Instagram. I love seeing the trickles of new subscribers—sometimes daily, definitely weekly depending on how much I’m promoting a “comment below [word]” strategy.
So many wellness practitioners believe Instagram is “dead” or that growth is impossible. Developing an Instagram strategy that actually works in 2025 and beyond can transform your client attraction system.
Podcast Growth
Thank you to all my loyal listeners! The messages you leave, the reviews you share, how you share episodes with friends—I love that. Please keep it going.
If you love this and haven’t left a review yet, I would love to hear from you. Please leave me a review. On Spotify, you can also leave comments that I can respond to.
The podcast has been growing—not in a viral explosion way, but consistent growth. Compared to last year, some episodes have more than doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled in views.
I’ve been booking consultations from the podcast as well. I love having listeners that I actually get to meet and see your smiling faces online, so please continue doing that.
Other Marketing Strategies
I also layer in:
- Networking events and presentations
- Speaking for other programs and audiences (I have clients from doing these presentations)
- Word-of-mouth referrals (I offer referral bonuses for people who refer, which feels good)
I have a presentation coming up with Embodied (a software company based in Canada) in January, plus potential opportunities with Jane’s App.
Consultation Conversion Rates
If you’ve heard my story, I used to have lower consultation conversion rates—anywhere from 10-30%.
Now it’s consistently 60-80%, and some months this year I’ve had 100% close rates.
The people I’m attracting and talking to have been amazing. I’ve been loving that.
Understanding how to conduct consultation calls that convert at high rates is one of the most valuable skills you can develop as a wellness entrepreneur.
What Surprised Me (And Didn’t Work As Expected)
Launch Results That Caught Me Off Guard
I’ve done a few launches this year on the Instagram clinic. Two went great. One totally surprised me.
I was launching my group program, but here’s what’s funny: I actually signed more one-to-one clients than Instagram clinic clients off that launch.
Which was fine—we still had a full group because my one-to-one clients get the Instagram program for free. Maybe that’s why it happened.
It just surprised me. I’m going to watch that going forward with the 100K Online Practice Blueprint because one-to-ones still get that program for free. I need to make sure my schedule has capacity.
Squeezing In Clients (A Good Problem)
Sometimes what didn’t work is that I really didn’t have an opening in my one-to-one schedule, but I squeezed someone in because they were on the consultation call, really wanted to start now, and I really wanted to work with them.
That’s fine except it’s time I’m not focusing on learning and evolving my launching skills because I’m in a lot of calls most days.
Again, it’s a great problem to have, and I’ll continue to evolve it.
Follow-Up Consultation Calls
I used to get mad at myself for having follow-up calls. The last couple years, I’ve made peace with it.
Some people come on the call decided and ready: “Yep, I’m in. Let’s go. Let’s schedule it.” I love that. Please keep doing that.
Some people need a couple days to talk it over with their partner or work it into the budget and make sure it feels doable.
In my audience, I see a lot of practitioners with doubt:
- Will it work for me?
- Will I be able to achieve my revenue goals?
- Will I have time for this?
- Imposter syndrome thoughts like: “Okay, it worked for some of her clients, but will it work for me? Am I able to do that? Am I able to show up?”
That’s where the follow-up call is really needed. You’re looking for more confidence and safety to make the investment.
In my marketing, I’m working on helping you shift that identity and improve that belief before you even come to the call. It’ll be an experiment, but in the meantime, I understand that process because sometimes that’s how I work too.
I might do a consultation call to get all the information so I can plan for it, then actually start a month or two later. I’ve done that before.
I’m building that into the process instead of making it mean something has gone wrong.
What I’m Doubling Down On for 2026
Continuing to Optimize Client Results
I’m always going to be watching and observing my one-to-one and now the 100K Online Practice Blueprint for client results. Looking for ways I can streamline and make things better, easier, faster, and more efficient for my clients.
Systems and Software Improvements
Switching from Acuity to Jane’s App for scheduling (going slow to make sure all calendars sync properly and there’s no double-booking).
Google Form for feedback submissions so clients can submit content, emails, workshop ideas, and other things for my feedback in one streamlined place. Right now people ask in multiple places (Slack, email, Instagram), and I don’t want to miss anyone.
I can still offer mindset coaching and shorter coaching through Slack where I provide direct message access.
Possibly bringing in Airtable next year to keep all client information in one spot with their own area, plus see all feedback submissions and monthly progress reports in one place.
Team Growth
I brought on a VA earlier this year who works 10-15 hours a week. She’s brilliant and feels like my magic fairy godmother in the background. She’s in the Philippines, so I can leave messages during my daytime, and when I wake up in the morning, things are done.
I hope to give her more hours and have her help with Airtable implementation (once I finish learning Jane’s App—I don’t want to learn two new software systems at the same time).
I’m watching my profit and expenses to make sure when I give her more hours, I can keep giving her more hours sustainably.
Having her on the team has been working great—helping with scheduling, repurposing content, uploading Zoom videos to Kajabi, and many other background tasks.
Revenue Balance
My goal is to have my revenue more evenly split between one-to-ones and group programs. This year the majority was one-to-one. Yes, I brought in significant group revenue, but the dominance was definitely one-to-one.
Next year I want that more evenly balanced.
The Big Lesson: Refinement Over Reinvention
As you can see, I’m not making huge changes in my business. It’s all just refinement.
It’s doubling down on what’s working and refining the areas that aren’t working as well. I’m not completely scrapping things (maybe micro things like a workshop topic or ad strategy that didn’t work well).
I’m definitely not scrapping the Instagram program because it did work and people got results. I’m just evolving it into a bigger program.
For you, if you’re looking to grow in 2026, remember: you don’t need to complicate things.
- Refine your offers
- You don’t need to be on every platform—double down on what’s working for you
- Get good at a few things that actually work, then rinse and repeat
- Layer in other strategies as trials
That’s what works for my content too. Over time I know messaging pillars my audience responds to and resonates with. Then I bring in other messaging pieces as trials. Some work well and become new pillars. Some flop, and that’s okay—I try something else.
It’s not super complex or complicated, and that allows me to:
- Track things easier
- Get better at what I’m already doing
- Help clients get results faster and better
Every year my programs get better because they’re evolving, not starting from scratch.
Questions to Ask Yourself for 2026
What could I get better at? Instead of scrapping something completely or adding something entirely new and having to learn it.
What’s already working that you can do more of?
What do you need to subtract so you have more energy for what actually matters—to double down on what’s working?
If you want more guidance on this process, you can purchase the Strategic Planning Workshop replay for $7. Just message me and I’ll send you the replay. Several people have done this and are really loving it.
