Hey there, wellness entrepreneur. Welcome back!
Over here, I’m celebrating. Celebrating a lot of things. I just hit 10K on Instagram and I’m really living in my dream business. I want to tell you this because I’ve never gone viral. I’ve had a lot of reels that have done really well, have been great engagement, I have people thanking me for my reels, signing up, and working with me for my reels and content. I have some carousels that are doing really well. Lots and lots of saves and shares, but I’ve never gone viral. I’ve just slowly grown. My content has slowly gotten better.
I want to tell you this because 10,000 followers might seem like a large audience to you, but in the Instagram world, it’s actually pretty small. But you can still have your dream business hit big revenue months even with a “smaller size audience.”
So I am celebrating that double-figure follower count here in my world, as well as I just taught the Instagram Message Makeover Workshop and we had a great turnout. Lots of engagement, community members helping and following each other on Instagram, bios edited and improved, real content ideas created, mindset blocks overcome. It was a wonderful time. I had a wonderful time. So thank you all of you who did show up live. I truly appreciate it. Lots of big wins over here.
And I just wanted to start this week’s blog acknowledging all of that, especially because there are things happening in the presidency right now. There’s a lot of uncertainty. I don’t want to get into politics, but I’m just approaching it from an economy standpoint because you’re an entrepreneur. And I think you don’t want to shun yourself from social media platforms because of politics. It’s remembering that you can be the light. You can be the change. And there’s still businesses out there like mine that are thriving and growing even with all this uncertainty and these blackouts.
I’m sorry. I don’t support a lot that is happening in a lot of ways here in the States and the world. Again, if there’s blackouts and you don’t agree with certain political views and changes that are happening, please, please, please keep supporting. Think about it this way. Amazon still has a lot of small businesses and entrepreneurs on there. A lot of entrepreneurs, wellness entrepreneurs with wellness products, wellness books. So please, please be mindful. If you are participating in a blackout to continue to support, there is a trickle effect in the economy when money stops. It really does impact businesses. So let’s keep supporting each other.
Okay, now on to today’s topic. We’re going to talk about Workshop To Waitlist. This powerful combination of making sure that you’re making more than just a few hundred dollars, even a thousand dollars on a workshop. A workshop can really turn into thousands of when done well, when you’ve done the workshop well, and when you partner and collaborate with your Instagram channel, it can be such a powerful tool to help convert those workshop attendees to actually paying clients. And that really reduces the amount of workshops that you feel pressured to do.
So you don’t have to be teaching workshops every weekend. You can really pick and choose and have more weekends off. You can have a fuller attendance in each workshop. There’s so many benefits. So we’re going to get into the nuts and bolts of that today here.

Crucial Problem I see With Wellness Entrepreneurs/Professionals
So here’s the crucial problem I see many wellness entrepreneurs facing, wellness professionals facing. They’re hosting a lot of amazing workshops. They’re getting people in the door. People are coming to them. Their attendees are loving the workshops. They’re getting great feedback. But then nothing, crickets. No program signups after that. No inquiries, no reaching out saying, “Can I work with you,” or, “I’m interested in working with you.” Definitely no high ticket wellness program sales, just crickets after the applause ends.
If this sounds familiar, not to worry, I’ve got you. You’re putting in a lot of hours preparing content, marketing your workshops, delivering amazing value only to walk away without feeling like, “Okay, that was it. Now I got to do the next workshop, do it all over again.” That is a hustle cycle that does not end well.
I’ve been there. I’ve been there teaching every weekend, trainings and workshops, classes in the morning and the evening, squeezing in one to one sessions in between all that. And it just leads to burnout. You utilize social media. Yes. Even if you’re tech afraid, tech phobia, what’s the word I’m looking for? Have a tech fear. It’s okay. Instagram really does make it simple.

What’s Really Happening When Our Workshops Don’t Convert To Program Clients
Let’s talk about what’s really happening when your workshops don’t convert to program clients. And that can be a group program. It can be one to one. It can be online. It can be in-person, whatever that next step is.
So you spend weeks preparing amazing workshop content. Again, you pour your heart and your soul into it. You know you’re the expert in this. You know they left with a transformational experience. You market it. People show up. They love it. They thank you. And then they disappear. And then you start hearing comments like, “That was amazing. I learned so much.” You really felt awkward selling at the end of the workshop. So you were quiet. I used to be like a little mouse being, “If you have any questions, just come talk to me after class,” or, “Talk to me after the workshop.” Or you make only a brief mention of your services and then you quickly move on.
You don’t schedule anyone for a consultation immediately after. Or there’s no one coming up to you inquiring about your services. You follow up once with the attendees, maybe in a lackadaisical e-mail because you don’t want to flood their inbox. And when they don’t immediately respond, you just assume that they’re not interesting. Our brains just go there. And you get disheartened because you focus so much on delivering valuable content. You know if they worked with you after, they would get even more. Or maybe you ran out of time to properly introduce your program. And that’s the reason why they’re not following up. Many things can go wrong in a workshop, but you don’t have to be perfect.
So for example, the workshop I just highlighted, I actually ran out of time. We got so into feedback and questions. I was running short on time, so it was not my perfect workshop in terms of time management. But here’s the thing: I still have people that bought into my Instagram Message Makeover Clinic and now they’re excited and ready in there. So it doesn’t have to be perfect to have people move to that next step to better help more people.

What Wellness Practitioners Believe When They Don’t Get Consults After a Workshop VS. The Reality
Here’s what most wellness practitioners believe in this situation: If I just deliver enough value in my workshops, people will naturally want to sign up for the next step for my program. But here’s the reality. There is a gap between a great workshop experience and signing up for your next wellness program. And sometimes it can be wider than you realize.
If your program isn’t a natural next step, if you didn’t go into the workshop thinking about this big picture plan and the workshop wasn’t seeding the program, there’s many ways to seed your program. I have a whole workshop series further up in the blog. In fact, I have a lot of case studies from my clients where they speak about different ways they utilized workshops and such. So for that specific information, view previous blogs.
Today we’re talking specifically about how Instagram or if you’re on LinkedIn or another social media platform, how that social media platform can be the bridge when used strategically. It can really help, which allows you to have freedom and flexibility in the topics or what you actually want to teach on. But you still want to be mindful that what you’re teaching on is a precursor to your program. You do want to make sure I’ll leave you with that for now. You do want to make sure it’s going to walk them, as Amy Porterfield would say, over that rainbow bridge into the pot of gold that is your program.
The Solution
So the solution isn’t hosting more workshops or cramming in more content. I firehose my workshop attendees all the time. I probably still do it sometime. I just want to give more and more and more. But truthfully, the solution is creating strategic Instagram follow up system. I use e-mail too. So we can say that Instagram and e-mail that nurtures workshop attendees and converts them into your wellness program. I call this the Workshop To E-mail Conversion Pipeline. And it’s really transformed how my business and my clients, how they both approach their workshops and Instagram content.
And this isn’t just about random posting or hoping people that find you online or doing a workshop and then posting Happy Memorial Day. This is deliberate strategic approach that creates multiple touch points with workshop attendees building on that connection, continuing to deliver value, giving reminders from the workshop and seeding that next step, which again is your program.
When you implement this framework, here’s what happened. You have the potential to increase your program enrollment rates from crickets to 40% to 60% after each workshop without feeling salesy.
You can actually teach fewer workshops, leading to more weekends free to spend with family or just resting while helping more people because each workshop becomes more profitable. Meaning you go from a workshop day that was $600 or a couple hundred dollars, nothing to shake a stick at to $6,000, even $10,000, depending on the amount of clients that signed from that workshop. I’ve had workshops where I’ve had $10,000, $12,000 from them because of the amount of clients I signed afterwards.
That’s a big difference. You can build a warm audience of potential clients who already know, like, and trust you. You create evergreen content that continues to convert for months after your workshop. And you establish yourself as the go-to expert in your niche, which naturally attracts more wellness program clients.
My client, Dana, she started hitting 7K to 9K revenue months in less than a full year, her first year in business. It was less than her first full year in business. And we use this strategy primarily. And here’s the good news. She doesn’t post on social media every day. She has a very sustainable content creation and posting rhythm.

Key Strategies or Social Media Content Planning
So let’s talk about the key strategies here.
Number one, it’s pre-workshop content priming. So a couple of weeks before your workshop, you want to create a series of Instagram posts and stories. And that can be carousels or reels and stories. You don’t actually have to announce that it’s a series, but in your mind, you’re going to be very focused on content that addresses the main points that your workshop will solve. And you’ll be using that problem aware content framework that I teach in my Instagram Message Makeover Clinic to highlight the reason why they want to attend the workshop.
And then in my e-mails, every single email, I have a PS that’s seeding the actual program that I’m be mentioning in the workshop. So already workshop attendees are coming, knowing that I have a program that they can work with more of. So they might even research it because I have a page with information about it and they can budget it. They can even look at the details of that. So they’re coming in aware knowing that this workshop isn’t the only thing.
You can also seed that program through Instagram carousels and posts and stories as well. So you can do a combination of growth style content, conversion style content, speaking to the problem that your workshop solves, and then problem aware type content that is highlighting your program as well.
Let’s take a practical example. If your workshop is about managing chronic back pain, you could create content around the hidden causes of back pain that most doctors miss, typical back pain treatments that often fail, client success stories featuring people who’ve overcome similar issues. And then you’re mentioning your upcoming workshop or upcoming program, and also providing value. So you can use AI to help here and you can put in one of those topics, for example, and you can ask it to create a carousel and say give, make sure to give valuable insights and tips right there in the post and then highlight the next step in your caption.
Then again, I’m just going to say this again. I said this in the workshop series, but in your workshop, make sure you do have a clear call to action. You only need a couple of sentences, but you want to clearly and confidently deliver that next step and why the attendees need it. Now we want to create urgency there, and then create a workshop connection protocol.

So if you are e-mailing, if you had a low volume of people that attended the workshop under 20 people, definitely under 30 people, personally message them, ask them how they’re doing, ask them if they have any questions. If you know you can say at the end of your workshop, follow me on Instagram, then you make sure they are getting that additional touch point and you can start messaging and having conversations with them after the workshop. Those conversations build so much trust. Then you can do an Instagram follow up sequence.
A 7-Day Example
I’ll give you a seven-day example. So for example:
– Day one, share workshop highlights and thank the attendees.
– Day two, address the number one question that came up during the workshop.
– Day three, share a client success story related to the workshop topic.
– Day four, post about a common mistake people make when implementing what they learned.
– Day five, do an Instagram live explaining a popular workshop topic.
– Day six, share a transformational journey of someone similar to your attendees that you worked with, maybe one of your clients.
– Day seven, make a direct offer for your program. So day seven is specifically highlighting your program and the next steps where day one through day six, I would still add a call to action in each of those to your program, to the next steps.
And then in the background, have as many strategic DM conversations. I don’t mean copy and paste, but I mean real life conversations, acting like a real human. You can send personal voice messages based upon their response. You can ask follow up questions, ask them if they have questions. When they share their challenge, you can suggest a quick consultation. And then when they’re on the consultation, you can, if they’re appropriate, go through your consultation strategies to then make an offer for your program.
And I do have previous blogs on consultations, so you can head there as well. And then you can create ongoing nurture content. So you can create a bank of stories and posts and e-mails specifically designed to address objections and hesitations your workshop’s attendees typically have about enrolling in your program.
For example, is this the right time, justifying the investment and helping them to see the value and why they should enroll now? Will this work for me? Things like that you want to overcome. You can overcome through email and content. And then you want to make sure, please, please, please have a deadline. When is the program enrollment going to end? You can have bonuses. When do the bonuses end? If you don’t have a deadline, then people will just wait and wait and wait. You need to have a deadline.

So if you’re thinking, “I’m not good at Instagram or social media,” remember, you don’t have to be an expert to implement this system. The content frameworks I’ve outlined regardless of your current following or tech savviness. Keep it simple. I have clients who started this process with less than 200 followers and have massive success. If you don’t want to be pushy or salesy, the system is specifically designed to feel helpful and valuable to your audience not pushing.
Remember, if you’re extending an invitation, if you have a service that will help them solve a problem, you are helping them. You’re making it easier for them so they don’t have to track down YouTube videos or spend a lot of time Google searching the right provider. You’re there. They just need to know you’re there and understand how your program will help them and why they need it. And if you do this clearly for them, it is a service. It’s not pushing or salesy.
If you feel that you don’t have time to create all this content, the beauty of the system is that much of the content can be batched or created directly from your workshop material. So you don’t have to think of new topics. You can use AI to help. One hour can generate weeks of Instagram content. If your workshop participants aren’t on Instagram, you actually might be surprised. According to recent data, Instagram usage spans all age groups significant growth among the 45 to 60 feet for 65 year olds. Plus, again, if you’re asking them to follow you on Instagram, they might start following you and inquire about Instagram and you might get them on the platform or they might ask another way to invitation out, put the ask out.
Conclusion
So just remember if you’re not converting from your workshop, you could potentially be leaving thousands of dollars on the table with each event. A client of mine calculated all that she missed out on it was over $40,000 just from not converting from past workshops. Ouch, that hurts. I don’t want that to be you and no shame if you’ve been there. I’ve been there too.
With a system to convert workshop attendees, you’ll need to host less workshops. So when you don’t have the system, you have to host more and more workshops to find more clients and that can lead to burnout and frustration.
Okay, to wrap it up, just remember the bridge between your amazing workshops and your wellness program is a strategic Instagram e-mail system that nurtures, educates, and converts your workshop attendees. By implementing this framework, you can transfer your workshops from one-off events to powerful client attraction systems that fill your programs consistently.
If you’re ready to stop hosting those one-off workshops that don’t convert and start creating a sustainable client pipeline, I love to help you and implement this system in your wellness business. Your next step is just to book a consultation with me and I’ll direct you to the most appropriate program. If you’re not following me yet on Instagram, make sure to follow me at @igniteurwellnessbusiness.
And if you have a friend that’s teaching a whole bunch of workshops and they’re starting to get tired, burnout and frustrated, or they’re not converting into a wellness program, make sure you send this to them. I’d love it or leave a review if you found this hopeful.
Okay, I’ll see you next week. Bye for now!
