Before we get started on today’s blog, I want to make sure you know that the Instagram Message Makeover Clinic doors are open so you can get in.
This clinic is starting in May 2025, but if you get in during this two-week window, especially if you enroll by February 28, you’re going to get a one-to-one strategy call with me and that is to refine your offer, go over your unique marketing plan, personally review your Instagram bio and content and messaging and create a content strategy with you personally. Also, be able to get personalized weekly feedback from me on one piece of content each week.
You can do this call in March so that by May you’re ready to go hit the ground running. Also, because you’ll have two bonus months in the portal to go through all the content and start the process to start growing your audience of excited wellness clients that are ready to work with you now.
Getting in early, you also get access to a Slack content day with me to get more feedback plus a $300 discount on the program. Now normally I don’t discount my services so this is huge. I just want to make it accessible for everyone to be able to get there, get into the program because I know how important and vital it is to grow an online audience and Instagram is a very simple and easy platform to do this.
This is a 12-week program and here’s what you’re going to get in the 12 weeks:
– 12 live 60 to 90 minute coaching calls with me and the community
– weekly content reviews from the community and I in a private group
– proven frameworks to double your audience and double your visibility
– bio and highlights optimization
– swipe files for faster content creation
Over the 12 weeks we are going to go over bio and highlight optimizations, reel content creation frameworks, how to understand insights for both your reels and your stories so you’re not just creating content but creating content that actually grows and converts your audience, simple tech solutions so you can create content faster, clarifying growth conversion content, styles of content and when to use each, how to write magnetic captions, how to plan your content and batch it, creating systems for this, using Instagram to help sell out your workshops and retreats.
This is very specific to wellness entrepreneurs. There are a lot of Instagram programs out there but not ones that are helping you fill your workshops and sell out your wellness programs specifically, how to sell on stories and sign online wellness clients.
If you sign up by February 28th, 2025 you do get the extra bonuses of the 15 minute Instagram strategy session that’s one to one, weekly personal content reviews and exclusive Slack content day access with me. That’s the $300 discount. Doors will officially close March 7th and we will be starting in May.
As a reminder, one to one clients that are working with me in May will get this for free so if you want to work one to one with me you can start now as available and again get that bonus access to the content and hit the ground running when we do go live as a group community in May.

Hey there, wellness entrepreneur! Welcome back.
Today we’re talking about Social Media Success Without The Stress. A healthcare provider, massage therapist, yoga teacher, healer, practitioner of the art, physical therapist, coach. It’s going to be your guide to less stress on social media, especially if you really don’t like social media or the politics are getting to you. I get it. It’s heated out there. But here’s the thing, as a light worker, because I believe all of us wellness entrepreneurs in this space are bringing light to many individuals that don’t feel well in various ways day to day.
So as a light worker, we can bring so much light, positivity and hope to the platform. So don’t let politics or other energy leaks and we’ll go over these of the platform to discourage you for helping others online, which also will help you to create that six figure plus online wellness business.
So we’re going to get into the five steps of how that can happen here on social media specifically today.
Here’s the truth: Instagram specifically, but any social media, can really feel daunting if you feel compressed for time and you also don’t say or you’re having feelings of imposter syndrome or you don’t want to show up and just promote yourself or feel too spammy. All of these cause energy leaks and blocks amongst many other things. So let’s fix all that so you can show up on social media and help more people and connect and get some paying students and clients into your online wellness offers.
And here’s the thing, you don’t have to do it dancing half naked or doing yoga flows half naked. You don’t have to post five times a day. You don’t have to make pushy by now posts. You can show up on social media in a way that feels in aligned and authentic to you. And part of this process is figuring that out for yourself in a way that doesn’t consume all your time.
Why “I Don’t Have Time For Social Media” Is Not The Truth
I’m a guru for a co-working space here in San Diego and I lead some calls. And just recently I was leading a call on the topic of Instagram. We were talking about time. I can’t tell you the number of practitioners that tell me that they don’t have time for social media. And here is the hard truth. It isn’t the truth.
I have sometimes 20-22 calls a week on the person created and posting all my reels and Instagram stories. And I have a VA that does help me repurpose my e-mails to carousels and repurpose onto other platforms. But I show up on Instagram daily and am able to carve into my time, time to create the content and post the content and engage with my followers and new followers after posting.
Even with a very busy one-to-one schedule, even while managing a group on top of this as well. And doing all the family and personal things. I have many doctor’s appointments to go to. I have to get my daughter to school and pick her up or get her to camps and various activities like soccer and gymnastics. I still have all these family obligations as well. Plus, I have other back-end things going on my business like writing e-mails. I am in the point in the business where I do have funnels and need to update funnels and such. So there are many moving pieces.
But the difference is, is I don’t have a lot of thoughts about social media that’s negative. And I prioritize my social media content creation time just like I would for a client call. I wouldn’t flake on a client if it was scheduled in the calendar. But a lot of practitioners that I work with schedule times to create content. And then other things come up that they feel in the moment is more important and they flake on their content creation time. And a lot of that flakiness has to do with the thoughts that are feeling around social media or dislike around social media.
So this blog is to help you stay committed to yourself so you can show up more and help more people. You don’t have to spend hours a day.
In fact, on Mondays I pretty much create my content for the week in less than two hours. And then I just show up and post and engage for five to ten minutes after posting. And then the rest of my day is spent on client work either on calls, giving feedback through clients DMs and answering questions, delivering to my group, and doing all the other back end components of my business. But when you begin to change your mindset and are more open to various tactics on how to connect with your audience on social media, you might realize that the time can drastically be shortened.
So for example, my client, Dana, came to me and she was taking 90 minutes to create one reel. And it was a great reel. It was very educational and informational, except it was too long for the platform. Now, Instagram is shifting. They just increased their reel time from 90 seconds to three minutes. But right now, it’s still tricky and hard to get an audience to watch more than 30 seconds of a reel on average.
So just because people are on social media, typically to be entertained or they’re doing other things when they’re on social media, many people don’t watch a reel that is three minutes unless there’s a very strong reason as to why it could help or how it could help their day-to-day health struggle.
So for Dana, we took that one reel that was long, and we essentially created a different framework for her to create more content, splitting that one reel up into four to five separate reels. Now that 90 minutes that was taking her to create one reel is creating a week’s worth of content.
Framework That You Can Use When Creating Social Media Content
Okay, I’m going to give you an overview of the framework right now. So you need to have a content batching session once a week about.
You need mindset regarding Instagram and social media for you personally.
You need to make sure that your bio is optimized to do the selling for you and convert followers while you’re sleeping or in your own sessions.
You need stories that engage your audience, and it’s not just resharing other people’s content into your stories. You need your own individualized unique stories as well, or primarily, I should say.
And then you need automated systems happening in the background while you sleep.
Reframing Your Mindset
Let’s start with the mindset. The key here is reframing. So noticing actually what your blocks are when you go to publish content on social media. So when I’m actually creating content and social media, yes, I might have my Instagram page pulled up because I do save content that has done well for me and I want to replicate similar pieces of content like that. This is a hack that also speeds up your content creation process.
But typically, I have other documents up where I am writing a caption or pulling from my photo roll in my camera or in my phone to create more reels. I’m not actually in Instagram just scrolling the feed. So it’s realizing to create content.
You don’t have to get triggered by politics on or other negative posts or if practitioners, your friends or competitors seem to be doing better than you or posting more than you. All those triggers, you don’t have to get into when you’re creating content because you can just go into your content creation, which would mean pulling up your phone to access photos and videos to create the reels or carousels or a Google document to create the caption or start to write about the hooks or text overlay that you might put on a carousel or over a video for a reel.

The next is really becoming aware of what those triggers are. So if it’s one that’s, “Oh social media is going to take too much of my time, I don’t want to be on the platform all the time,” it’s reminding yourself, “I’m just going to go onto the platform to post and then engage,” and then you can get off. That’s 20 minutes of time or less.
If you’re feeling negative towards social media and you don’t like all the negativity on social media, it’s reminding yourself that you can be the positive light on social media. Your reel or post could bring so much hope to someone’s day. How do I know? I have people telling me that all the time like, “I’m so glad you posted this. I really needed to hear this message today,” or, “Thank you for that tip. It really helped me. I saved it for later.”
So you can be that creator for your audience. You can really help them and be the light. It’s remembering that social media is an opportunity to connect with your audience. But again, that doesn’t mean you have to be on there 24/7. I have often DMs, anywhere from 10 to 20 or sometimes more on read. And I show up to my DMS to engage with my audience during those blocks of time that I actually schedule into my calendar to post and then engage with my audience.
So you don’t have to feel pressure to respond immediately. So remember, you can control when you can connect with your audience. And if the whole reason why you became a wellness entrepreneur or a practitioner to help other people is to help other people, this is how it starts.
And it doesn’t have to be an energy leak because you’re not going to give away all your free materials. When you’re connecting with your audience, it does not mean helping them for free, meaning like doing a session just through written words, through DMs back and forth.
It’s listening to them and filtering, “Okay, do they need my help? Can I help them with their problem? Would they be an appropriate client?” And if so, then offering them, making an invitation to work with you to your next step, whether that’s a consultation or if you have a workshop or a webinar, but that process is not to just give away your information for free. It is to connect with them and then for the appropriate people, lead them to the next step to working with you.

A Big Stressor And Block on Social Media for Most Wellness Entrepreneurs
A big stressor and a lot of times a block on social media is I really don’t know what to say. Now, I teach my clients the pillar framework, which is connected to their offer and then their marketing messages on social media. I’ll come back to those pillars. This can be an advanced process. So if you’re just starting out and you really don’t know what to say, it comes down to just thinking of what’s the day to day health struggle that your clients are facing that relates to how you can help them and what are some insights that they don’t know or realize.
So in the marketing world, this is often spalled problem solution framework, meaning you’re just highlighting a problem and giving a solution. And depending on the type of content that you’re posting, if it’s a growth type content or conversion type content, you might actually go into some of the solution or the solution may be to work with you. That can be in a program. It can be in one to one. It can be in a workshop. There’s many different ways.
But coming up with the problems on what to talk about can actually be simple if you just take a moment to really think about your clients’ day to day and the struggles that you help with. And what can help with this process is just thinking of the clients that you have or the struggles that consultations come in to talking to you about what’s happening.

Maybe they’re complaining about their GI issues. Okay, why are their GI issues a problem? Maybe they’re not going out with their friends anymore because they’re afraid to eat food outside of the house because they can’t control what’s put in it and if it’s going to lead to bloating or an embarrassing bathroom trip in the middle of dinner. You want to get into those details. And when you’re focusing on your potential clients and your audience this way, that also helps with imposter syndrome of, “Who am I to say this,” because when you’re thinking about their problems and potentially how you would help them, then you’re getting into your expert energy as the practitioner.
And so, it doesn’t matter if someone’s saying it better than you or different than you or all the thoughts that our brain likes to offer. Instead, it’s just focusing on what you have to say to help someone in that moment because there are a lot of wellness practitioners on social media and on Instagram but they don’t have your same experience in your life of maybe how you got to be a wellness practitioner as well as your expertise. They definitely don’t have the same exact certifications and trainings and knowledge.
And so when you speak from those lenses, no one can really replicate what you’re doing. And yes, you might be different than some other practitioners out there saying different things, but that’s good because you want to differentiate yourself. It’s having the confidence to be bold. It’s having the courage to say the hard thing or the different thing. And again, those can be blocks.
But if you’re thinking about the importance of why you do want to show up and say the hard thing, how it could help someone in their day, how potentially it could also be fulfilling your dream of having that six-figure plus wellness business that really makes an impact and helps lots of people, then that is your why. All of this becomes your why.
Plus, if you’re providing valuable insights and mindset shifts for your audience and valuable content about wellness and health, it’s not about self-promotion when you’re just showing up on social media.
In fact, that’s a mistake I see a lot of wellness practitioners make is they are just showing up and promoting, meaning the only time they do show up to social media is to promote a workshop or tell their audience spots that are available in their calendar or when the office is open or closed. All of that is self-promotion, which no shame. We all have to do that. We all have to make posts highlighting when we’re available and what we’re selling. Each of us have to do it. It’s part of the gig of being an entrepreneur.

But when you’re also providing valuable content, not always just conversion-type content, as I call it, then there’s more of a balance on your platform. And you do feel like you’re connecting and helping more of your audience just by showing up.
So if we go back to the framework of content taking too long, then we have our content batch session once a week. That solves that problem. It shouldn’t take you longer than two to three hours. And if you’re not having time to fit that in, then all in one shot, maybe just spread it out. Have one hour on Monday and the another hour on Wednesday. Or if it works better for you to create content on the fly, then you can do that in 20 to 40 minute increments.
However, I find that for a lot of wellness practitioners trying to create content on the fly in their lunch time, if they have an hour lunch break and now they need to eat, create the content and post the content, often it doesn’t get done because when you’re going from session to session and then you have lunch and then you might have session to session again, your brain actually does need a break and content creation does utilize your energy. So it isn’t a great time to do that.
Or at the end of the day when you’re tired, if you’ve had a lot of sessions, if you led a lot of classes, if you worked with a lot of people and now it’s you know 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. at night and nighttime isn’t your strongest energy-filled time of day, that’s not a great time to try to create a post and post it right then.
That’s why I like to do mine on Monday when I’m freshest and I start the week, my energy and focus is stronger. I can create content out so then during the week all I have to do is publish it. It’s making sure that your bio is optimized and set up so when you do have content that resonates with your audience because you are showing up consistently, you don’t have to sell so much. You do want to utilize stories to help do some of the selling for you and adding in creation of stories into your content batching time. But your bio will do some of the heavy lifting for you as well when that is optimized and focused and clear I should say on the potential client’s next step.

Also what can help with that feeling of being promotion and spammy on your feed can be learning how to create that ratio of growth versus conversion type content and using stories both to share what’s happening into your personal life or other connection points. Yes, you can reshare content from other people that does resonate with you and you’re also going to be sharing stories that is going to be resonating with your audience’s specific health struggle and leading them to the next step.
If you go into my Instagram stories you can see I always frequently have story sequences up where I’m speaking to my ideal clients’ problem and I’m leading them to the next step and I’m sharing a lot of the times my client success stories themselves and it’s not just a quote I’m sharing. I’m telling a story and then when you have those next steps set up for example automated systems maybe someone can go to your link tree and opt in or maybe someone can book a consult call right there on their own and then they get the reminder email through your Calendly or Acuity Scheduler systems. There’s many ways you can automate those next steps so you don’t have to be manually doing all the work.
Many Chat is a great another example where you can have people comment on your post and then that many chat will automatically send them to your free opt-in or give them the link to register for a workshop and such.
So you can see, there’s so much potential here on social media. It really comes down for you figuring out your mindset blocks around social media.

Mindset Shifts That Work Well For My Clients and I
Here are three mindset shifts that work well for my clients and I. The first one is, “Done is better than perfect.” The more content you get out the more data you’ll get back on types of content that your audience likes messaging that resonates with them but if it’s all stuck in your drafts or your head then you won’t actually know what your audience likes or doesn’t like.
I’m always surprised sometimes content that I think my audience will really resonate with they don’t and then content that feels really edgy and I’m not sure that my audience will like or will get mad at me they actually love. So you just don’t know till you put it out there and try and then it’s always refining. If you keep this process up, I was just highlighted in in my Mastermind for doing this well consistently.
I’m always posting things out there whether it’s on social media or e-mails then I’m getting the data and as well as getting feedback from my coach and then going out the next week and trying it again and through that, I’ve decreased the amount of time that it takes to create content and e-mails and increase the amount of impact that I have meaning they convert better and reach more people. It all starts with just getting it out there so done is better than perfect. Here’s the truth on social media none of us can be perfect. It’s all relative.
Okay the second reframe is connection and education is not promotion especially not self-promotion. So when you share your expertise you’re not bragging, you’re serving. Every post is a micro moment of education or a chance to connect with your audience and there’s nothing wrong with self-promotion.
We have to promote our work as entrepreneurs. It’s investigating your thoughts as well on promotion. What do you think when you come across promotion? Investigating how you feel when you’re being sold to do you get excited, do you look forward to working with your coaches? That can help to uncover some of your blocks.
Okay this third one might be mind-blowing for you. The mindset shift is your time is valuable and this is huge because often we think that social media is a time suck when it can actually give us so much back into our business and even our personal life. You just don’t know the connections you might make and the doors that might be opening.
But when you’re spending a lot of time overthinking social media or it becomes an energy and time leak that’s all minutes you could have been helping someone. When you are over analyzing or over just be onto yourself because your time is too valuable for that.
