Hey there, wellness entrepreneur. Welcome to 2025!
I hope you had a nourishing and relaxing holiday season. The McLean’s, we had a ton of fun. We went to Florida for almost 10 days and hung out with family there and did a whole bunch of holiday things like seeing holiday lights and zoo and lots and lots of family time, taking advantage of Florida’s beautiful summer-like weather, many pool days. We had a great time.
And I’ve been working on specifically 2025 planning with my coaches and strategizing my 2025 year. And that’s what this blog is about. It’s for you if you want to create six figures, consistent 5K months, 10K, 12K, 15K months without overworking and you’re wondering what’s really holding you back.
I’m going to talk about one of the key mistakes I see a lot of entrepreneurs make and for good reason because a lot of the time they come into their own business burnout, burnout from working in a mill clinic or maybe they’re moving from the brick and mortar space into the online space and when they’re going to create their online programs, they’re creating it from a place of being burnout from their brick and mortar, tired, exhausted.
Or maybe they’re a yoga teacher or somatic practitioner who’s taught a lot of classes, has run around and raced around a lot, but still hasn’t hit six figures or consistent five figure months. And the mistake I see, and this is going to be hard to hear, but I promise you when you hear it and integrate and process it and work through exactly where you might be doing this mistake and start creating programs from a different perspective, it will change everything for you.
And the big mistake I see a lot of entrepreneurs, specifically wellness entrepreneurs making, is that they’re creating these online or hybrid wellness programs from their perspective only, not from the perspective of what their business actually needs, the stage or phase their businesses and what their clients really need and want.
The mistake is that these wellness entrepreneurs are so burnout and tired that they’re very self-focused when making their programs. A lot of it is a program that they want to create with the number of calls that they do or the structure, the nuts and bolts of the program is all based upon their own desires. It’s information that they want to share voiced from the perspective of their practitioner brain upon what they want their ideal schedule to be like. It’s all very practitioner-focused.

And again, I get it. I’ve been there. No judgment, no shame here. This is purely for awareness. And there is a sweet spot. I’m not saying this blog isn’t going to be about going all on the other end of overworking, not working your ideal business, not following your dream, not following your passion. There is a sweet spot of filling your soul, filling your cup, having a business that fits you, your desires, your values, your schedule, but also to achieve the revenue that you really want without overworking, without hustling around the clock.
You also have to bump up against some growth edges and learning curves that are uncomfortable. And it’s really prioritizing your values and understanding where your growth edges are, and learning how to navigate certain uncomfortable emotions and discomfort in your business so you can achieve that holistic balanced business that you want.
So in this blog, we are going to break all that down what that actually means and looks like. And I’ll tell a bit about my story and some client success stories as well to create that six figure plus, five figure consistent months where you really are serving your client, fulfilling the promise, creating a program that they desire, getting people in it, having them love the program. It all depends upon some strategic business decisions. It’s understanding your unique expertise, what you desire in your business, and your audience’s most pressing problems, the market demand, as well as a sustainable business strategy.
To create programs that actually sell, you need to conduct detailed audience surveys. And I’ll tell you how to do that without feeling like you have to send out an e-mail that no one’s going to respond to, inquiring about what they really desire. You’ll know how to analyze current market trends, specifically using your e-mails and Instagram or TikTok or the platforms that you on. You’ll know how to track engagement on your content, how to utilize your consultations and conversations with your ideal clients, as well as studying what’s out there in the marketplace.

The Big Mistake I see With A lot of Entrepreneurs When Creating their Programs
So let’s take a specific example of what I see most commonly.
Most commonly, I see a burnout practitioner that has a brick and mortar business where they’re just slammed with one to ones and they’re not marketing at all. Or I see the practitioner that doesn’t have as many one-to-one clients as they like. They maybe have experience of being burnout from being in a mill clinic or teaching so many yoga classes, and they’re tired, they’re feeling a lot of pressure for time. They might have a lot of family needs, their family consumes a lot of their time, which is fine. They want to prioritize that. They might have their own health needs that also consume a lot of their time. And because of that, they’re making strategic business decisions based upon these emotions of feeling tired, overwhelmed, burnout, not having enough time. So they’re thinking in their business, they need a program that isn’t going to take a lot of their time.
That is the biggest mistake right there. That thought that they’re going to create a program that won’t take a lot of time, AKA that one-to-one program. A high-ticket one-to-one program is not the answer that they’re looking for. So then they jump to a membership or a low-ticket offer, or a group program, or an on-demand type program. So they completely jump away from one-to-one instead of looking at hybrid options, or even considering a mid to high ticket range offer.
So the reason why this is a problem is because a lot of the skill set that’s really required to fill an on-demand program, a low ticket membership program or a group program, the skills required to make that program be six figures and create those five figure months aren’t there, AKA they don’t know how to generate a big enough audience to fill those programs, get a group of people into a program at the same time.
Their audience just isn’t big enough. They don’t have the marketing skills required to convert people off of social media, off of Instagram, off of e-mails into the program. And they underestimate the amount of time it takes on the back end to develop those skills and then implement those skills of marketing to make those programs consistent month after month, year after year.
It’s a misconception to think that, “Okay, I’m just going to coach an hour a week to a group of people. And I’m going to make a lot of money doing it.” Layered on top of this is what is actually in the program itself. A lot of the times the wellness programs are made from the practitioner’s brain using the language and the practitioner’s perspective. It’s not really what the client wants though.
And so for example, clients really want specific performance or outcome based goals. So they either want to lose weight, they want to fit into their comfort skinny jeans and feel confident. See how that’s very specific. They want to get more auditions if they’re in the performance industry. They want to hit certain performance metrics if they’re an athlete. If they’re a mom, they want less arguments with their partner and children. They want to get more done in their day to day. If they’re in career, they want raises, they want to make more money, they want to work less hours. All of these are tangible, measurable outcomes that their ideal clients want.

What I see a lot of practitioners creating programs are more upon the practitioner goals, such as eating a certain way or exercising a certain way or moving a certain way or mindsets, beliefs and outcome or daily habits that they should be performing a certain way, healthy living lifestyle habits that they should be implementing. Clients don’t want all that.
Here’s the truth. They’re really, really busy. They’re overwhelmed in their day-to-day life, just like you are. And what they’re really seeking, what they will pay money for is those performance, tangible results. They don’t want to feel shame or guilt for living their life a certain way or having a doughnut when they want to have a doughnut. They don’t want resolutions, New Year’s resolutions that make them feel crap. They don’t want more to do in their busy life. They don’t want to, just like you, go through a lot of uncomfortable feelings and discomfort to get what they want.

What You Need To Do To Have A Program That Will Sell
So the answer to all of this is to really investigate your business holistically. Where is your business? Your audience size, your e-mail open rates, your conversion rates from e-mail and social media, your conversion rates on consultations. Yes, your ideal schedule. What is a sustainable business schedule? What lights you up as a practitioner in terms of helping people and balancing that with what the client really needs and wants and a program that fits within your business model right now that matches your skill set and where your business is right now.
And the way to get that is to look at your interactions with your clients right now. Whether it’s DMs on Instagram, whether it’s forms filled out in consultations, whether it is in your client sessions or just messages you have, conversations you have at networking events. What are people saying? What are people really struggling with? What are people really desiring?
And here you can really use AI to help. I have my clients fill out a consultation form when they first schedule their consultation and I’m always keeping track of that. And every so often, every few months I submit it into the analyst section of ChatGPT or now I also use Claude to analyze it. And I’m picking out my clients’ key desires, their key struggles, their key problems that they have day to day that they will pay for. And I’m making my content around that. I’m making my e-mails around that. I’m making any program that I make around that.

My Own Struggles With my Programs and How My Programs Are Now
It always wasn’t this way for me though. When I first started considering working online, I was really burnt out. I had my brick and mortar and it was successful on paper, but I was overworking with the number of classes that I was teaching per week, the number of one-to-one sessions I was teaching per week. All the teaching I was doing on the weekends, whether it was leading yoga teacher training anywhere in the world or leading workshops, again, anywhere in the world, I was just doing too much.
And I thought the answer, because it was being promoted at that time was to just do an on-demand type online wellness program, but I jumped too far to the other end. I didn’t have the skill set at first to both get enough people in that program to create that revenue that I wanted. And I didn’t have the skill set yet of creating an online program that my audience really desired and wanted and help them achieve and get results in the simplest, quickest way possible.
And that’s still my work now. Because I’m a seeker, because I love knowledge, because I love learning and hearing all the things, I always tend to give more information to my clients because that’s just how I am. I am a sponge. I love to learn. I am always in multiple coaching programs and practitioner programs all at the same time. But I realized not all my audience is that way. Some of them are. Some of them are seekers and love all the information. And some of them understandably just want the simplest path, the quickest path to getting to earning more revenue while not overworking, while working their ideal hours.
And so all my programs are always catered towards that. So I’m always going into my portal and refining and helping to make that. In fact, I just created new workbooks geared towards that with a blueprint that really walks them through the simplest, quickest path. I’m doing that for my Instagram Message Makeover Clinic. What is simplest path to creating six figure months, even with a small audience off Instagram. And I had to go through the discomfort of learning how to manage a busy one to one schedule without overworking. I had to learn how to lead generate, grow my audience without overworking. Those were skills I had to develop. And that is what has allowed me to now have a successful business.
Now my business is 95% online. It’s created so much freedom in my life. And each year my business generates more revenue, more profit, take home profit, and working less hours per week. Each year I’ve just refined that and refined that.
For me, it hasn’t been super large jumps, but each year it gets better. And so I just continue and stay the course. But I have had to go through discomfort of learning how to manage a one-to-one schedule. Right now I am still primarily one-to-one. And at times my schedule does feel tight trying to manage my daughter when she’s home from school, either sick or on vacation. Or I had to learn how to manage trying to train and hire a VA and bring them on when I only have limited time. I had to learn how to manage learning how to efficiently launch a group program with a one-to-one schedule, not taking my eye off the revenue coming in while I learned the skills of writing e-mails and growing social media and doing the work myself without handing it quickly off to a marketing assistant when I don’t know how to do it myself. I had to go through all that and that is what’s created the success for myself.

The Benefits of Getting Out of The Comfort of Practitioner Brain
And if you’re thinking, “Well, I don’t want to compromise my vision.” This isn’t about compromising your vision. It’s understanding your growth edges, your learning curves, where you’re avoiding discomfort or trying to take shortcuts in your business. That’s really a long detour.
It’s about amplifying market research to help reduce the overwhelm so you know exactly what to prioritize in your business. And when you get out of the comfort of a practitioner brain and only this business that you really desire and focusing only on your needs and desires, and you start to align your wellness offers with the health and wellness market needs, your program will fill faster, you’ll have higher client retention, you’ll have more meaningful transformations with clients that stay with you for a long time, you’ll have increased word of mouth referrals, and you’ll have a sustainable business growth with less stress.

Here’s What I Want You To Do This Week
I want you to look at the current clients you have right now and really hone in from the practitioner brain here of their problems, what their true problems are, as you would say, get to the root source of their health problems. Now I want you to step out of the practitioner brain and really listen from their words of what they feel their problem is and what they’re really desiring and make sure you write that down.
And if you don’t have a lot of clients yet, start having more conversations with potential clients on Instagram, at networking events, at New Year’s functions, go to events, go to conferences, get out there, just learn from your potential clients and start writing it down and use AI to help you analyze.
Now, that doesn’t mean, here’s another mistake, that you’re going to stop all marketing, you’re going to spin in confusion, you’re going to stop working and bringing on new clients, you’re going to stop showing up, you’re going to be doing this while you’re still testing content, starting to test the language of what your ideal client may want on social media, in e-mails, because this is an ongoing evolution.
When I help my clients create their core teaching pillars document, I always tell them that this is a living, breathing tape. You’re always going to be adding to it, you’re always going to be refining it, always going to be evolving. Because the more clients you work with, the more data that you’re going to be gathering, and that’s going to inform and make future content.
If you look through my Instagram, if you scroll down, @igniteurwellnessbusiness, you’ll see that my content has really evolved. And it’s all based upon this client analyzation that I’m always doing in the background. So my content is made for my clients, my programs are made for my clients, with my vision of my business with a sustainable schedule. So keep that analyzation going while you’re testing content through emails, through social media, in workshops, and focus on your top three audience pain points, where they’re really struggling from their perspective.
And what kind of program can address those struggles? Pick the top one or two desires that they’re wanting those performance, tangible outcome-based desires and create the program from that and work backwards. Use last week’s blog to help you develop that signature offer based upon what the client needs to get that offer, because it might be hybrid, it might be one to one and group, it might be only one-to-one. In some cases, if your business maturity fits, it might be only group, but you don’t know until you really survey your business and your clients and what’s really needed.
Client Success Story
And that’s what my client Rachel recently did. She has a brick-and-mortar acupuncture clinic as well as she does functional medicine online for women who want to get pregnant or are pregnant and want to have a healthy pregnancy or to help with postpartum issues.
After she came to me stuck at five to six, sometimes 8k revenue months, she really wanted to hit six figures, consistent five figure months, she wanted to gather more online clients, specifically for her functional medicine program, to create more freedom and flexibility in her business and not rely only on acupuncture.
So together, we really refined that online program based upon what her clients were telling her based upon her unique expertise as a functional medicine practitioner because she has a wealth of experience and knowledge and certifications. We also looked at her schedule with her acupuncture clients, with her family needs, with her own health needs. We also examined the marketplace and her current demand and her audience to find a sweet spot for pricing that she felt very comfortable with, so she could close more consultations.
And the result of that is getting more consultations, learning how to market them on Instagram and through her e-mails, we really refined her e-mails and Instagram and we continue to do but her e-mails have really helped to skyrocket her consultations conversions there have really improved and she’s doing really well in her consultations because she’s so confident and she has a stellar online program and can deliver results she feels confident in.
And the result of that is the month of December while she’s taking time off three weeks and out of the country, she hit a 12k month. Her first five figure month yet doubling her revenue. Prior to this, she was trying to launch an on-demand program and just was not seeing the revenue jump that she was really desiring with all the work that she was putting in and she was feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.
Conclusion
So if you’re there too, and really desiring five figure months in a more sustainable schedule for all the effort you’re putting into your business, you really have a big dream and vision, keep going, you just have to find that sweet spot of really determining what your audience wants, utilize your marketing so they understand the program that you have is going to fulfill that desire and wants within that vision of your dream.
Of course, if you want my help, that’s exactly what I’ll help you to do. I am booking out into early spring, end of winter for 2025. So if you are wanting to work with me one-to-one, now is the time. Also, stay tuned for future Instagram Message Makeover Clinic Group Program coming up and future Awaken Mastermind opportunities later this year or early in 2026.
